Hobby Boss 1/72 GMN Rail Transport

I

n October 1939, work began on designs for loading the Geraet 040 for rail transport. Due to the high weight and great length, it was necessary to transport this self-propelled gun supported by traversing pedestals mounted on two five-axle rail carriages. Supporting arms, attached to the Geraet 040, were lifted by massive hydraulic cylinders to suspend the self-propelled gun between the rail carriages.
