The Carisma Coyote RC Crawler just got better

How do you improve upon an affordable classic that has raised the bar for RC Crawlers everywhere? Simple – improve the specifications and performance and keep the SCA-1E Coyote 2.1 evolving.

Carisma have stuck with the classic 1950’s Lexan pick up frame and added in some additional injection moulded scale details like door handles, windscreen wipers, wing mirrors, front and rear bumpers, highly detailed grille, and, front and rear LED light capability. You still get that classic look with the clean, mean and capable shaping.

Internally the SCA-1E Coyote 2.1 has some impressive changes improving the Gen 2 layout with a CMS Mount allowing a forward weight bias to assist with crawling. The steering servo and battery pack are also upfront to assist with weight balance and help you in the tight spots. Another new addition to the SCA-1E Coyote 2.1 is Carisma’s Anti Torque Twist Transmission (ATT). The addition of ATT reduces and counteracts the effects of torque twist by flipping the rear diff, and, making sure the front and rear centre driveline spin in opposite directions. This process generates counter-rotational force in the central driveline that drastically reduces torque twist and increases the available traction at the wheels. The geometry on the SCA-1E Coyote 2.1 is even more predictable and stable plus it also runs flatter at full throttle.

The gear ratio on the SCA-1E Coyote 2.1 has been lowered to 5.92:1 to give you greater levels of control and a smoother low RPM range. The ARC-1 ESC is LiPo friendly and works in conjunction with the 17T Sealed Can 5 Pole Motor to give you enhanced throttle finesse and torque when RC rock crawling. If you’re hitting the trails with pace, the 17T 5 Pole motor will move you along quite nicely and the sealed can means there is increased weather resistance and decreased maintenance time.

The 1.9 beadlock wheels are fitted with Carisma soft compound All-Terrain Adventure Tyres (ATAT) that will give you great performance when crawling or out on the trails. You can add additional weight to the wheels to adjust the bias further and assist with your RC rock crawling.

As one of the classic pick-up trucks of the 50’s and 60’s the Coyote shape has stood the test of time, and, gone on to influence the stylings of some of its more modern counterparts. With a dark grey matt finish the SCA-1E Coyote 2.1 can be left as-is for that clean muscle look, or, you can fully decal it up with the additional sheet to make it look competition ready. Your Coyote, your choice. It comes with wipers and mirrors for that added scale look and the body is LED ready and will accept third party LED kits or Carisma’s own (sold separately).

The CTX-8000 Carisma 2.4GHz transmitter comes with the Ready-To-Run version of the SCA-1E Coyote 2.1 and features steering/throttle trims, steering rate and endpoint adjustment, channel reversing and Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) technology that eliminates cross channel interference and gives you a user-friendly glitch-free experience. There is a 1400mAh NiMh battery included with the kit along with a 5V USB charger in order to get you going straight away. The ARC-1 speed controller is LiPo compatible so you can upgrade if and when you feel the need.
